  • Synthesis and testing of Carbon Nanotubes for application as hydrogen fuel cell electrodes
  • Practiced polymer and nanocomposite synthesis in glassware and bomb reactor systems and characterization using triple detector GPC
  • Synthesis of CdS quantum dots and characterization to determine band gap energy
  • Trained in Organic and Biochemical chemistry techniques such as organic molecule preparation, protein purification, acid base separation, buffers, protein concentration assays, enzyme kinetics, and bacterial transformations

  • Experience and practice with multiple Atomic Force Microscopy techniques (EFM, MFM, Contact & NC) developed through laboratory course
  • Quartz crystal microbalance nanosensors measuring single layer molecular depositions
  • Proficient in operation of Thermogravimetric Analyzer, Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Vickers Microhardness Tester, and Polarized Light Microscope for bulk materials testing
  • Experienced in spectroscopic and diffraction techniques such as Fourier Transform Infrared, Infrared, Near Infrared, UV-Visible, Raman, X-Ray Diffraction, Ellipsometry, Refraction Indexing, and Particle Size analysis
  • Skilled in determining surface morphology and chemical composition using Scanning Electron Microscope and Atomic Force Microscope

  • CMOS Microfabrication including thin film deposition and sputtering techniques including Plasma-Enhanced CVD and Physical Vapour Deposition, Photolithography, Dry and Wet Etching and CV-IV analysis
